Terms of service
Last updated 22 September 2026.
These terms cover tutoring from Willowbrook Tutor and the use of this website. Booking a session, enrolling or using the portal means you agree to them. They’re written to be read, so if anything is unclear, just ask.
Who provides the service
Willowbrook Tutor is run by Nith in Armidale and Invergowrie, NSW. You can reach me on 0482 797 814 or willowbrooktutor@gmail.com.
The service
One-on-one tutoring for every year from Kindergarten to Year 12, and small groups of no more than five students for Years 5 to 10, all matched to the NSW syllabus. Groups run live over Zoom. One-on-one sessions can be online or in person. Session times are agreed when you enrol.
The first session is free
A new student’s first session costs nothing, and there’s no obligation to continue. Nothing is invoiced unless you decide to keep going.
Fees and payment
Fees are those shown on the Programs & fees page when you enrol. In-person one-on-one sessions beyond the distance listed on that page include the travel fee shown there. If fees change, you’ll be told before the start of the term they apply to.
Invoices appear in the portal and are paid by bank transfer to the account shown on the invoice, using the reference shown. Please pay by the due date on the invoice.
Away dates, cancellations and stopping
If a student can’t make a session, mark the date as away in the portal before the session and it won’t be charged. If I cancel a session, it’s rescheduled or not charged. You can stop at any time: let me know before the next invoice and you won’t be charged for sessions that haven’t happened. Sessions already held are payable.
Referral credit
When a family books using your referral code and has their first paid session, the referral credit shown in the portal comes off your next invoice. There’s no limit on how many families you can refer. Credit can’t be exchanged for cash.
Points, leaderboard and prizes
Students earn points for homework handed in on time, attendance, the daily question and stumping the tutor. Each term’s prizes are shown in the portal. The leaderboard shows ranks and points, never names. Prize decisions are made by Willowbrook Tutor, and points or prizes can be withdrawn if they were earned unfairly.
The placement test and study helper
The placement test is a guide for choosing the right group, not a formal assessment. The study helper is a practice tool and can make mistakes, so check anything important with your tutor or teacher.
Online sessions
For online sessions, parents are responsible for the student’s device, internet connection and supervision at home.
Portal codes
Each family gets a private portal code. Please keep it within your family. If you think someone else has it, tell me and I’ll issue a new one.
Teaching materials
Worksheets, workbooks, feedback and other materials are for your family’s own study. Please don’t republish or sell them.
Behaviour
Everyone is expected to be respectful in sessions and in messages. I can end tutoring if behaviour puts others at risk or makes sessions unworkable, and any prepaid fees for sessions that haven’t happened will be refunded.
Results and responsibility
Tutoring helps, but no particular mark or result can be guaranteed. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, Willowbrook Tutor’s liability is limited to supplying the affected sessions again or refunding what you paid for them.
Using this website
Please don’t try to reach accounts or data that aren’t yours, interfere with the site, or send spam through its forms. Information on the site is kept as accurate as possible, but it may change.
Privacy
How personal information is handled is explained in the privacy policy.
Changes and law
These terms may be updated, and the current version will always be here with its date. They’re governed by the law of New South Wales.
